Why we’re building
Road freight is one of Europe’s largest and most critical markets, moving around 75% of all inland freight across the continent. Yet despite its scale and importance, execution remains fragmented, manual, and inefficient.
Within this market, a significant share of freight is handled outside long-term contracts. Last-minute demand, network imbalances, and capacity constraints push logistics teams into ad hoc decisions—while more than 25% of truck capacity often runs unused.
Manametrix is built for this gap. We are developing a SaaS marketplace focused on ad hoc road freight across Europe—where speed, transparency, and execution discipline matter most. Rather than attempting to digitize the entire freight ecosystem, we focus deliberately on the segment where fragmentation and inefficiency are highest.
The opportunity is substantial. Europe’s road freight market exceeds €500 billion, yet large parts of it still rely on manual processes and underutilized capacity. Reducing friction in even a small part of this system has an outsized impact on cost, service performance, and sustainability.
The platform is shaped by real operational conditions: cross-border networks, variable demand, fragmented supply, and constant performance pressure. Our goal is not to digitize theory, but to reduce friction where it actually occurs.
While the platform is being built, we engage selectively with logistics operators and transportation leaders to stay close to the field—validating assumptions, refining the product, and focusing on measurable outcomes in utilization, cost structure, service performance, and sustainability.

How we build
Manametrix is built with a platform-first mindset, supported by selective, execution-led advisory work. Our primary focus is the development of a SaaS marketplace for ad hoc road freight—designed around real operational constraints, not theoretical workflows.
We build by staying close to execution. Platform decisions are informed by real transport networks, live market signals, and the practical realities of cost, service performance, and capacity utilization.
Advisory work plays a deliberate, supporting role. We engage selectively with logistics operators and transportation leaders where hands-on involvement helps validate assumptions, refine product logic, or address clearly defined operational challenges. Founder
Marouan Hajji
Founder & Managing Partner
Marouan Hajji founded Manametrix after more than 20 years in transportation and supply chain operations across Europe and international markets. His background spans large-scale, cross-border networks where he held end-to-end responsibility for performance, cost structures, and execution under constant operational pressure.
Before founding Manametrix, Marouan held senior leadership roles across Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Belgium. In these roles, he led complex transport and logistics operations, oversaw major facility expansions, implemented sustainability initiatives with clear economic impact, and contributed to the early-stage planning and execution of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution effort in Europe.
Manametrix was created to address a structural gap Marouan experienced firsthand: a road freight market still dominated by fragmented supply, manual processes, and inefficient handling of ad hoc demand. The company’s primary focus is the development of a SaaS marketplace for spot and ad hoc road freight in Europe—designed around real operational constraints rather than theoretical workflows.
Alongside building the platform, Marouan works selectively with logistics operators and transportation leaders on clearly defined challenges related to network design, procurement, and execution performance. These engagements are intentionally limited and serve both to deliver measurable outcomes and to inform the ongoing development of the platform.
Marouan holds an Executive MBA from Vlerick Business School and has completed executive programs at the University of Cambridge, UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, and Singapore Management University. His work combines operational discipline with a builder’s mindset—focused on reducing friction, improving execution, and creating scalable impact in European road freight.
